Is there a charge to use the site?
At The Locations, we feel you will find the right place for your next shoot. Our database is viewable online. No charge for 'digi-scouting.'

How do we proceed when we are ready to commit?
Once you have chosen your location(s) and we have made sure they are available, we will generate a contract and invoice for you. Locations are booked by day rate. Payment and certificate of insurance are typically due prior to occupancy.
Can you scout specifically for us? Or are there more properties to see?
Yes, we are always updating our properties, so we may have some not posted yet, or we can scout specifically for your project at a rate of $750 for a full day (10 hours) or $500. for a 1/2 day (five hours) plus expenses of gas, meals and tolls if applicable. Some of our veteran location scouts are members of the Directors Guild of America, if applicable to your project.

Can we see the locations before choosing?
We will be happy to arrange pre-scouts/itineraries for you. For more then three locations, we charge $100 per location, which is credited if and when you book with The Locations. When one of our representatives are required to tour the pre-scout with you, a 1/2 day fee of $400. is charged with a $200. credit, or a full day fee of $650. with a $325. credit upon booking. We can also shoot additional images to match storyboards or specific criteria at a fee of $100 per property.
What else can you do for our project?
The Locations offers services including budgeting, location scouting and management, permits & insurance, travel arrangements, crew & equipment, catering, and client hospitality. We know you are busy and likely short on time, let us be of help to you.

FAQ - List My Location
How can I list my property with The Locations?
We are always on the look out for new and interesting properties. Currently we have demand for some of the following:
​
"Larger Homes" - open floor plans, tall ceilings, clean style furnishings along the lines of Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn.
​
"Loft style" homes - reminesceint of Soho/NYC. We shoot in apartments as well as home. Our clients love large windows and clean lines
"Mansions" - tall ceilings, large rooms and well appointed.
Clients also look for homes that could look like they are in Europe.
"Period Homes" - interiors that are true to the 70's, 60's or have a singular unusual style.
"Rooms with a view" - particularly of water or city scape, along with some large windows or rolling property.
